As young children, many who are born with the telepathic gift are brought to the Temple of the Order and given over to them for raising. It would seem like a terrible thing for a parent to do but the Order of the Mind is the most respected telepathic organization in the world today. With the right education, the telepaths can have a productive and not alienating life.
